HH Small Acts of Kindness

Hand-in-Hand Share Missions have been actively and proudly trying to encourage everyone to join us on our campaign to perform small acts of kindness. Our goal is to continue to join forces with our team members, friends, and family to make a small impact on others, no matter the size of the gesture!

In the past few weeks, you may have notice that we have been sharing short stories about our small acts of kindness for others, particularly for our friends in Vietnam. However, this week, we wanted to create a suggestive list of things that we can all do to share our kindness:

HHSMALLACTS.jpg

As you can see, these small acts do not require anything more than your time and efforts. Small Acts of Kindness are meant to be easy but thoughtful! We hope that you will take the time to check off something (or all of the things) from this list in the days to come. Don’t forget to share your story with us by using the hashtag #HHSmallActsofKindness on Facebook and/or Instagram!

A Room Full of Kindness

Hand-in-Hand Share Missions received notice that the local priest in the Kon Thup / Mang Yang / Gia Lai, VN areas is transforming a deserted house into a medical office. He wants to use this office as a wash house to care for patient wounds.

However, medical equipment is still lacking.

The needed equipment for this medical office include stretcher beds, chair ladders, medicine cabinets, and more.

For this week’s Small Act of Kindness, Hand-in-Hand has decided to make a donation towards this medical office and provide the necessary funds for all of the equipment!

A Water-ful Small Act of Kindness

Our friends in Kon Thup, Vietnam have been surrounded by contaminated water for some now. Recently, we received news that they have been gifted a new water filtration system! We are so excited for them because this is something that is essential to their everyday life and health.

However, we heard that the monthly electricity bill to keep the water filter running is very costly and unaffordable to our friends there…

That is why Hand-in-Hand Share Missions has decided to pay the monthly fees required to help our friends keep their water filter running! This is our water-fuL act of kindness for the week!

We are simply so happy to know that our friends can have the proper clean water that they need!

A Small Act of Kindness for 10 Sweet Hearts

The ethnic minority families in the village of Kon Thup do not have the necessary means to provide their children a nutritious meal much less afford to provide them an education. A priest that we have been working with in this area reached out to let us know that he wanted to change that. In the last few weeks, he successfully formed a boarding school for a group of 10 girls so that they can have the proper meals, home, and education provided to them.

After we heard about this great deed, we knew that we wanted to do everything that we could to help these sweet girls.

Hand-in-Hand Share Missions is proud to share that we have been donating to this boarding school so that the girls can continue to maintain a stable lifestyle and pursue their education!

We are beyond grateful for this opportunity to serve these little hearts <3

Two Small Acts of Kindness

Here is one elderly gentleman in Vietnam that suffers from physical disabilities. He has been bedridden for some time now and has been incapable of using his legs. As you can see, he cannot do much except spend most of his days in bed.

This second gentleman also suffers from physical disabilities. His legs are no longer of good use to him and keeps him from getting to far places.

When Hand-in-Hand heard about this…

We were so delighted by the opportunity to help these two gentlemen! As a team, we decided to provide wheelchairs for each individual to help them maneuver around their house and their city!

A Small Act of Kindness for Binh

Hi friends! We wanted to share these pictures of a new friend of ours, Binh, who is currently residing in Vietnam. The nuns that we work with during our mission trips in Vietnam reached out to let us know that Binh is someone that they have had the pleasure of meeting. Through their friendship, the nuns learned that Binh is homeless with no family and multiple medical conditions, one is that he is unable to walk. Together, we wanted to do a Small Act of Kindness for Binh and put together the funds to purchase a bike for him so that he can get to his destinations better.

Here he is with his brand new bike!
